Bodypower 2012

Wow, with over 30,000 visitors, Bodypower 2012, was the biggest fitness event the UK has ever seen!

Fit Body Promotions was in attendace, along with 1Rep Max and Muscletalk and Armed Combat

The weekend started with a telephone interview on BBC radio Midlands promoting our site and Bodypower.

We then had Rene Campbell on our stand doing signings and photos, and she also did a guest spot at the UKBFF qualifier.

We also had a number of the U Phorm teams who will be competing in Fitness Britain 2012 helping us for the day and great fun was had by all.

The Sunday was just as eventful, with Renee Watters doing a speach on fitness modelling, alongside the likes of Greg Plitt, Bobby Khan and Matt Marsh. The talk was a great success with everyone picking up secrets and hints.

With contacts made and fans met, this Bodypower was a huge success! Roll on 2012 we say!

After a successful article in Now magazine, Rene Campbell has been riding high. She has been filmed for a German TV show, been filmed for a pilot ITV show with John Barrowman, been featured on BBC radio and had several production companies interested in making documentaries. Also, Rene will be appearing on the Fit Body promotions/Muscletalk stand at Bodypower, NEC 2012! Come along and get a signed photo!

Fit Body Promotions joined with Muscletalk to host a female Bodybuilding seminar. Featuring British Champions Rene Campbell, Lisa Cross and Renata Sulekaite. It was attendend by established and aspiring female competitors with advice on training, diet, a focused workout and posing practice! Cannot wait to see how all the attendees get on with their competitions this year!

Stephen Summers and Sean McCarron were filmed as extras for the Irvine Welsh film, 'Filth' Starring James McAvoy! Even though it was a cold, rainy, Glasgow day, they still braved it in some very interesting shorts! Cannot wait to see the film!

B-Fit Expo

Fit Body Promotions attended the B-Fit Expo in January 2012. We attended with Chris Radamacher of U-Phorm, Natasha McFarlane, an up and coming fitness competitor, and Destiny Clark, another up and coming model! We were also filmed by a televison company for a pilot TV show about Fit Body Promotions and the work we do in the industry!

It was a very exciting day!

Fit Body Promotions - New MM Britain Competitor Liason Service

Musclemania Britain is pleased to welcome Fit Body Promotions as our official fitness liaison service linking marketable athletes to homeland career opportunities.

The decision was made after our 2011 season review with events attracting an unusually high number of athletes who are genuinely marketable in the commercial world and in need of active promotion across the UK. With U-Phorm as the event promoters of Musclemania Britain and the highly time consuming business of supporting young people in need at the top of our daily agenda, the partnership will allow us to bridge the gap with the efforts of Fit Body Promotions as a competitor support service.

The company is run by Tom Watters, a champion bodybuilder and strongman with over 10 years training experience and “the soccer mum of the fitness industry” Renee Watters, who will be looking after our teenage and junior athletes to provide information, advice, and guidance. Renee will be performing background checks and making sure that our youngest athletes and models receive support to know the difference between genuine opportunities and the ones to stay away from, whilst work alongside our child safeguarding policy. Fit Body Promotions will also be participating in bids to link government funding to the fitness industry and wider England employability targets.

The team will be integrating all of Musclemania’s ‘featured athletes’ to their media network for a joint approach in competitor promotion.

IFBB British Grand Prix and Fitness Expo

Fit Body promotions was one of the sponsors of the event, which was held in the ExCel center, London. We had a great reaction, it was an amazing 2 days. We entered both our models in the search for a next fitness model. They got to shoot with world renowned photographer Kevin Horton, and not only that, our female model, Renata won! She will now be featured in a calender! Our models got to attend the aftershow party and mix with the stars! our male model Arron was also interviewed by John James Preston, and we were featured on the chanel 5 show, 'There's somethin about Josie'!

Scout and about!

So, its Sunday 26th June 2011 and time for the MuscleTalk show 2011! Last year I was here supporting our directors James, who is the organizer, and Tom who was competing, and won his class!

This year I am not only scouting, but also doing videotaped interviews! Eek! My 1st victim is Tom, which is easy enough! Then I have the very lucky job of interviewing Oli Price, the new face of Duke Nukem' Worldwide! He is very charismatic and looking amazing, despite a shoulder surgery a few weeks before!

The next is Renata Sulekaite, who is presenting the awards, and won the model search at the IFBB British Grand Prix and fitness expo 2011. I hand picked Renata to represent our brand at the expo, and she didn't disappoint. Interviewing her, she is stunning, and so friendly as usual!

I then interview Aarron Lambo, he is making his comeback and wins a very tough class! He will be amazing at the British Finals this year! He was also named Fit Body promotions model of the month.

Next victim, Shaun Joseph Tavernier. Just back from Canada and doing a guest spot, he is immense!! The difference from the British Grand Prix to this show was astounding! He has just qualified for the Olympia and is upbeat, friendly very positive about the future!

Then I was in for a real treat, Rod Rambo Lenette! If anyone has seen this guy perform, he is a force of nature! He puts on an amazing show for us that has to be seen to be believed!

To round up the day I get to meet for the 1st time Darran Winfield-Stanesby. What an inspiration, he has just done his 1st guest pose and for anyone who doesn't know Darran he is a wheelchair user and one of the most inspirational characters you will meet!

All these interviews will be on our You Tube channel very soon! It was an amazing day and I look forward to you all seeing them!
